Looking after your veneers
Veneers are easy to live with, and a little care keeps them looking beautiful for years. Here are a few simple habits to protect your investment in your smile.
Twice a day
Brush and floss as normal
Care for veneers just as you would your natural teeth: two minutes morning and night with a soft brush, and floss once a day. Healthy gums and clean teeth keep your veneers looking their best.
For the colour
Go easy on staining
Porcelain is highly stain-resistant, but composite can pick up colour over time, like natural teeth. Tea, coffee and red wine are the usual culprits, so rinsing with water afterwards helps keep things bright.
Day to day
Avoid using teeth as tools
Veneers are strong, but biting nails, chewing pens or opening packaging with your teeth can chip them. Treat them with the same care you would natural teeth and they will last beautifully.
If you grind
